Samsung Smart TVs run Tizen OS, which has more restrictions than Android TV. Not all IPTV apps are available in the Samsung App Store, but several solid options exist.

GSE Smart IPTV is the most versatile free option. It supports both M3U playlists and Xtream Codes API login directly within the app.
How to Install GSE Smart IPTV on Samsung TV
- Press the Home button on your Samsung remote.
- Navigate to Apps and search for "GSE Smart IPTV".
- Install the app.
- Open the app and select Remote Playlists.
- Tap the + icon and choose either M3U URL or Xtream Codes.
- Enter your credentials and press Add.
- Your channel list will load automatically.

How to Set Up Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Smart IPTV uses a different setup method. You configure it from a computer:
- Install Smart IPTV from the Samsung App Store.
- Open the app and note your TV's MAC Address shown on screen.
- On a computer, go to
siptv.app/mylist. - Enter your MAC address and paste your M3U URL.
- Click Send to TV.
- Restart Smart IPTV on your Samsung TV. Your channels will appear.
Note: Smart IPTV has a one-time activation fee after a free trial period.
EPG on Samsung Smart TV
- In GSE Smart IPTV: Go to Settings > EPG Settings and ensure EPG is enabled. Trigger a manual refresh if channels show no guide data.
- In Smart IPTV: EPG is usually loaded automatically if included in your M3U URL.
Common Samsung IPTV Problems
App Not Available in My Region
The Samsung App Store availability varies by country. If GSE is not visible, try changing your Samsung account region in the TV settings. Some users also access additional apps through a different region.
Channels Not Loading
- Refresh your playlist inside the app.
- Re-enter your M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials to ensure there are no typos.
- Confirm your subscription is active by contacting support.
Buffering
- Switch from Wi-Fi to wired Ethernet using a Samsung-compatible adapter.
- Test your internet speed using your phone on the same network.
- Samsung TVs have limited internal RAM, so close any background apps if possible.
No EPG / TV Guide Missing
- Manually trigger an EPG refresh inside the app settings.
- Verify that the EPG URL is correctly configured. If you are using M3U, the EPG URL may need to be entered separately.
Internet Speed Requirements
A stable connection of at least 15 Mbps is recommended for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K on Samsung Smart TV. Wired Ethernet provides the most stable performance.
