When setting up native IPTV applications on a Smart TV (like Smart IPTV, SET IPTV, or IBO Player), the very first thing the app will ask you for is your MAC Address.
Without this 12-character code, you cannot upload your playlist to the app, and you cannot activate your 7-day free trial.
Here is exactly how to find the MAC Address for any device.
What is a MAC Address?
A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique string of letters and numbers assigned to the network chip inside your television. It acts as a digital fingerprint.
It looks like this: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E.
Important: Televisions usually have two MAC addresses—one for Wi-Fi and one for Ethernet (LAN/Cable). If you switch from Wi-Fi to an Ethernet cable, your MAC Address will change, and your IPTV app may suddenly deactivate!
Method 1: Look Inside the IPTV App (The Easy Way)
You rarely need to dig into your television's core settings to find your MAC Address. 99% of IPTV apps display the MAC Address directly on the screen as soon as you open them.
- Download the app (e.g., IBO Player) from the Samsung or LG store.
- Open the app.
- Stop at the very first loading screen or home screen.
- Look at the center of the screen. It will clearly display:
Device MAC: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX. - Take a photo of this screen with your phone.
Method 2: Samsung Smart TV Settings
If the app does not display it, or you need it for network diagnostics, you can find it in the Tizen OS settings.
- Press the Menu/Settings button on your Samsung remote.

- Scroll down until you see Wired MAC Address (if using a cable) or Wireless MAC Address (if using Wi-Fi).

If you are using an app like Smart IPTV on a Firestick, you may need to fetch the Fire OS MAC Address.
- Go to the Firestick Home screen.
- Scroll right to the Settings gear icon.
- Click on My Fire TV.

- The MAC Address (Wi-Fi) will be displayed on the right-hand panel.
Method 5: Apple TV
- Go to the Settings app on the Apple TV home screen.

- The Wi-Fi MAC Address and Ethernet MAC Address will both be clearly displayed on this screen.
