How to Safely Sideload IPTV Apps on Amazon Firestick (Using Downloader)

Because the Amazon Firestick runs a modified version of Android (Fire OS), it doesn't have access to the Google Play Store. Many of the best IPTV apps—like TiviMate and specific versions of IPTV Smarters Pro—are not available natively in the Amazon Appstore.

To install these apps, you must sideload them. This process takes less than 5 minutes. Here is the step-by-step tutorial.

Step 1: Install the Downloader App

"Downloader" is an official app in the Amazon Appstore that acts as a web browser, allowing you to download Android installation files (APK files) directly from the internet.

1. Go to the Home screen of your Firestick.
2. Navigate to the Find magnifying glass icon.
3. Select Search and type exactly: Downloader.
4. Click on the orange Downloader icon under Apps & Games.
5. Click Download or Get to install the app.

Step 2: Enable "Apps from Unknown Sources"

Before the Firestick will allow Downloader to install an app, you must give it security permission.

1. Go back to the Home screen.
2. Navigate to the far right and click the Settings gear icon.
3. Scroll down and click on My Fire TV.
4. Click on Developer Options. (Note: If you do not see Developer Options, click on About, then click on the name of your Firestick rapidly 7 times until a message says "You are already a developer." Press the back button, and Developer Options will now appear).
5. Click on Install Unknown Apps.
6. Find Downloader in the list and click it to turn the status to ON.

Step 3: Sideload Your Preferred IPTV App

Now that Downloader has permission to install files, you can grab your IPTV app.

1. Open the Downloader app from your Home screen or Apps list.
2. Click Allow if it asks for permission to access photos, media, and files.
3. Click OK on the Quick Start Guide popup.
4. Highlight the URL search box on the Home tab.

From here, you simply enter the direct download code (called a Downloader Code) or the direct URL of the APK file.

Common Downloader Codes:

• TiviMate (Latest Version): 272483 (This points to the official TiviMate companion APK).
• IPTV Smarters Pro: 78001 or visit iptvsmarters.com/smarters.apk.

5. Once you enter the code, press Go.
6. The Downloader app will connect to the server and begin downloading the file.
7. When the download finishes, a prompt will automatically appear asking if you want to install the app.
8. Click Install.
9. Once installed, click Done (do not click Open yet).
10. A prompt will appear asking if you want to delete the installation file. Click Delete and Delete again to save valuable storage space on your Firestick.

Step 4: Launch and Configure

You can now return to your Firestick Home screen. To find your newly sideloaded app, click the Apps icon (three squares and a plus sign) on your home screen. Scroll to the very bottom of your app list, and you will find your IPTV player!
