Download IPTV Smarters Pro for Mac
Search for 'IPTV Smarters Pro' in the Mac App Store and install it. The Mac version supports both M3U and Xtream Codes login.
Add Your Credentials
Open IPTV Smarters Pro and click 'Add User'. Select 'Login with Xtream Codes API' and enter your server URL, username, and password. Click 'Add User'.
Alternative: IINA Player with M3U
IINA is a modern open-source media player for macOS. Open IINA, go to File > Open URL, and paste your M3U URL. IINA will load and play your channels. Note: IINA has no EPG support.
Configure EPG
EPG is supported in IPTV Smarters Pro for Mac. It loads automatically with Xtream Codes login. For M3U, enter the EPG URL in the app settings.

macOS Blocks the App as 'Unidentified Developer'
Apps installed outside the Mac App Store (like IINA via a direct download rather than the App Store version) can trigger Gatekeeper's security warning on first launch.
- Right-click the app and choose 'Open' instead of double-clicking — this gives you the option to bypass the warning for that specific app.
- If it's still blocked, check System Settings > Privacy & Security for an 'Open Anyway' button that appears after the first blocked attempt.
IINA Shows No EPG or Channel Guide
This isn't a bug — IINA is a general-purpose media player, not a dedicated IPTV app, so it has no built-in EPG or channel-list management by design.
- If you need a program guide, use IPTV Smarters Pro instead, which supports EPG natively on macOS.
- IINA is best treated as a fallback for simple M3U playback, not a full IPTV app replacement.
